Pick Up and Go Movers

Try to make this short. I hired this company to move me from Gwinnett to Henry County. They broke my washer and dryer and then the owner refused to pay for them. This was a brand new Samsung set. They failed to strap the washer onto the dolly and it fell off of the loading ramp. They also stole several items from my home. This included family heirlooms jewelry and electronics. While waiting for me to meet them at the new home. I approached the moving truck to let them know that I had arrived and when they opened the door it smelled like pure wweed.Do not use this company. They are crooks and criminals. Thought that I was getting a good deal. Only thing that I got was ripped off.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $575

I had an appointment scheduled for 11 AM. They never showed up. I called over and over and over. It was obvious they were ignoring my call. Someone finally answered at 7 PM after I called the after hours number from the email. They ended up rescheduling me for the following day. They played stupid as if they did not know what I was talking about when I mentioned them not showing up the day before. They acted as if they did nothing wrong. The first thing he mention was me tipping him after we were done. HE ASKED FOR TIP BEFORE THEY EVEN MOVED MY STUFF. They were smoking weed while they were moving my furniture. They damaged my couch. And after they move my furniture I did not give them a tip. So he got an attitude and made a very smart remark. He was obviously upset and had an attitude. The number one thing I was upset about is them not showing up the day before. I had my entire apartment packed up and ready to move and they never showed up and ignored my calls. It was extremely inconvenient. The day they came one of the movers called my phone by mistake. I thought he was talking to me at first. But he was talking to another customer. I heard him in the background talking to someone else telling them that he tried to called them and he tried to email them. It was very clear that based on what the mover was saying that they did the same thing to someone else. Not show up. So they must do this a lot. There are other companies that are cheaper. I posted a photo of my damaged couch. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $169

So I read the reviews AFTER I scheduled my move with them and was, of course, very skeptical. However, they were absolutely AMAZING!  They came right on time and call to say they were on their way, they were quick and courteous, they finished the move in less time than I planned.. less than 2 hours to move a 2 bedroom townhome to a 2 bedroom apartment. No extra fees or charges, everyone hustled and kept busy the entire time. I was completely impressed and will DEFINITELY use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

Service cost: $160

They moved us fast, but don't use them for hi end items, unless you watch them all the time, because they will break your item then run. James tried to fix the dress he broken will screws and couldn't and told me he'll be back the next day but never returned. James said they have insurance up to $300 for troubles like this, but when we called the office and talk with Patrick he just hang-up in your faces, when trying to solve the problem. These people are bad news unless you don't care about you items.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $300

THEY ARE THIEVES!! Stay FAR, FAR away!! I have to say I used these movers twice in the past and never had an issue, but this last time, absolutely awful. Their driver, Kevin, overcharged my move $70..with all the commotion going on, I didn't even realize it. I have been calling them for two months attempting to get my money back and they refuse.  A man who answers the phone and says he is ANTHONY always says he will send a check for the amount that was wrong, but still two months later, despite numerous emails, voicemails, and calls to him, I do not have my refund. I have made a report to the better business bureau and filed a small claims suit.  If you don't want to be cheated out of money, do not use this company! They are all shady!  Also, if you ask them for a supervisor, they simply hang up on you.

Service cost: $360

I found it highly unprofessional that the company didn't come between 10-11am when I called/requested this weeks before, selected it online, and received an email confirmation w/that timeframe. At a minimum, I should have received an email or call to let me know they'd be 2 hours later. Instead, it took me calling multiple times to be told. If the company normally doesn't work during this time, I should have been told so that I don't have to rearrange my entire day for nothing, and find a company who can accommodate that time. This comes off as a "bait and hook" tactic to get my business no matter what.

My other problem was when that the mover Avery arrived, he spoke to me in a very rude manner. He backed up his truck, and I tried to politely explain that there are 2 different entrances to use, and that I'm on the top floor. He yelled at me, from his truck, saying that I was talking to him as if he were illiterate and didn't like the way I spoke to him. It was not my intention to sound rude at all, and he had no right to yell at me. He ended up being more polite later on by talking to me. I think he only did this to gain a tip. On the other hand, Todd was polite.

What also bothered me was that I felt pressured by Avery to leave a tip. I owed $301, and was going to pay about $280 in cash, and the rest on card. He was quick to point out that the tip had to be in cash, and I had no intention of leaving a tip for many good reasons. I ultimately felt pressured to leave a $30 tip ($15 for each).
1) The company came 2-3 hours late (regardless of whether or not it was the driver's' fault).
2) I was overcharged compared to my last move in November. I understand it's peak moving season.
3) I've hired other moving companies in the past who never mentioned a tip, nor do I see why they should be when they already get paid for accurate/friendly work.

I emailed this company addressing all of my complaints. They said they would refund my $30 tip and never did! They even said they mailed a check, supposedly, and I never received it. After a few more emails with no replies, I filed a complaint with my card company to get my money back. I know they are the cheapeast, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Spend the extra $10+ somewhere else for better quality.

Service cost: $301

I used this company in the pass and I loved their professionalism so much that I decided to use them again. I made arrangements a month in advance and confirmed two days in advance for my between 8 to 10 appointment. After waiting the 2 hour window, I called to find out my status for pick up. I was told that they were finishing up a smaller job and they would call me when they were on their way. I called back after waiting an additional two hours but no answer or return call. I called and texted several more times, still no response. After finally making arrangements with Zephyr, I received a call 5 hours after my original appointment time saying they were ready to pick me up. I don't do business that way. Yes, I may have spent more money with Zephyr but it was worth it in the end.

Service cost: $260

They showed up about 15 minutes late, which wasn't a big deal in itself, but oh well. More importantly, although they were very fast, some items were damaged - they wanted $300 for insurance which is crazy, when I was told over the phone that they were licensed and insured. Never did they say I had to pay extra! I have private insurance for transportation of goods so I used my company instead.

Next day started looking for items and found lamps, computer accessories, hard drives, keyboard/mouse, among other things nowhere to be found, as well as my microwave!! Did they really think I wasn't going to notice? Multiple phone calls were not returned, then I was told by the guy answering the phone, when he finally answered, to call the driver myself. I couldn't believe it!

Needless to say do not use this company, they will steal your stuff. I have filed a claim with my CC company. I even tipped them $20 each - 3 guys - man was that a mistake!!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $678

Everything started off completely fine. Had two movers come see me Kevin and Jason Wolf. I specifically asked to book Kevin because I've used their service before a few times. Upon arrival everyone was friendly and I expected this move to go thru smoothly. About an hour into the move, Jason Wolf feels the need to complain to me about how some of my belongings are a nuisance for him to move. Stating "Normally customers have their items already set up in a way that's more convenient for him to move". He then goes on to say " I'll have to be cleaning the back of our truck with your stuff like bags etc all over the floor ". He huffed and he puffed and seemed exasperated like this move was a bother to him. Instead of complaining , he could have formulated a solution as far as charging me for more boxes or anything. To hear a grown man 15 years my senior complain and whine like a small child is too much for me to stomach. He even had the audacity to argue with me saying he doesn't care I'm not paying him anyway I'm paying his boss. What kind of logic is this? Isn't your boss paying you for your labor as an employee ? If you don't want to move people's belongings find a new profession. A seemingly good move completely turned into a nightmare.
