EZ Moving and Storage

We hired EZ Moving for a local move in Michigan. Similar to other reviews, the price was underestimated in order to win the job and we had to fight for them to even finish. The owner didn't provide enough movers or trucks and was ready to leave many items behind. The owner is refusing to take our calls at this point in response to a claim we provided due to missing items, scratched floors, and damaged goods.

There are absolutely better moving companies out there, do not hire this one.

We found EZ Moving and Storage on-line and regret we chose them.
 
The owner came out for an estimate. He said the time would be around 8 hours and 15 minutes ($907) for "the worst scenario". However, it turned out they used 11 hours and cost us $1180 (30% more than the estimate)! Not sure if the estimate was way too off or the actually work took longer than it should be.
 
We called the office to communicate with them about our frustrating experience, the office assistant said she would talk to her manager and respond to us that afternoon about the final payment. However, the office manager never got back to us until we called them three days later. That woman was extremely rude. Without listening to our complaint, she said she had done investigation (investigation without even contacting the customer?!) and their people did not do any wrong and 30% difference from the estimate was still “close”. She even said we owed them a late fee (we had been waiting for them to give us the final amount!) which she would “waive” for us. She threatened if we did not pay immediately, she would send the case to a collectible specialist and it would go to our credit report. We requested to talk to the owner. She yelled in the phone "I AM THE BOSS!" We never had the chance to communicate with the owner because all the communications with him had to go through the office and apparently the office blocked our message. The owner simply disappeared after the estimation. While we were naively waiting for the owner to contact us, we received a letter from a collect specialist. The office manager acted way faster reporting her customer than responding to them.
 
Would never use this company again!

Where do I start? First let me say when searching for good movers in Rochester Hills MI and you want quality with an afffordable price, EZ Moving & Storage has it. We needed to move from our home have these movers move us to our new home in Clarkston. They sent us 4 talented movers with 2 huge moving trucks and moved our whole home in just 2 days! WOW! Five stars from us! Nothing bad happened and we even bought them a chicken dinner and pizza! Good job guys! When we move again (hopefully not to soon - lol) we will be calling these movers to relocate us again! TW .

They guys were great, worked hard and were professional and they didn't even take a break so I bought them lunch, I felt bad because they worked do hard to ensure my saticefaction. It was easy to let them be, do their thing, they're the professionals they didn't need micromanaging meanwhile I was preparing other things int he apartment. I hired EZ two years ago when I went from a house to an apartment and was super happy with service so I hired them again. Again, I am super happy and pleased with service. I even referred them to my real estate agent and loan officer for other clients needeing movers.

I did a search of all local movers, researched reviews, and then I called and talked to a few to find out fees and options.  I spent at least a couple of weeks checking out my options of the better rated movers for my area.
The one that made me feel more secure is EZ Moving and Storage, the fees and options they had were laid out for me without asking, the hourly rate is higher than the others, however the overall costs are cheaper than the rest of them.  The sales person I talked to is Debbie, hope I did not spell it wrong, is very professional and helpful.  They setup a free at home estimate fitting my schedule with no problem, the person showed up on time, was very professional making sure exactly what was moving as well as asking if packing materials were needed.
The sales representative Debbie and estimator and others informed me how to save money on the move, by having everything packed, staged, ready to go when the movers arrived, that it is not needed but will save me money.  To have a company tell you how to save money from start to finish is almost unheard of this day and age.
The movers showed up on time in there company labled truck, took a tour of our staged belongings making sure of all that is being moved, and immediatley got to work.  I offered coffee, dunkin donuts, pop etc. for breakfast, they ate and drank while working.  Later I bought them pizza and pop on the other half of the move, again they kept at it, eating and never stopped moving like working machines.
Then after the move was finished, nothing broken or damaged, again I was informed on how I can save some money on the move.  I recommend this company to anyone needing a professional move and will use them again without a doubt.  Thank you.

From Autum helping to facilitate and organize our move to Markus and Lamont packing and driving our items, the whole process was easy. The service was wonderful on all accounts. The price was great. We moved a four bedroom and three bathroom house an hour away and the cost cannot be beat by any other company. It took only 6 hours for the move from start to finish. None of our items were damaged. The movers were very courteous and efficient. We will be using them whenever we need a moving company in the future.

This was my 11th move with professionals; locally, nationally and inter-continental. Our experience with the EZ Movers crew was absolutely the very best anyone could hope for. They were polite, kind, and considerate of everyone in our family. Initial contact was made with Rebecca and Greg, who saw to our every need and answered every question during the planning stage. Andy, Mike, Shawn, and Bryan handled the actual move. They were on time and expeditiously accomplished a daunting task; which included an extensive library, with amazingly positive attitudes, two hours early and with zero damage to our household furnishings. Strongly deserving of the highest recommendation possible!

I want to take a moment of time to comment about this moving company in Michigan named EZ Moving and Storage.
 The reperesentatives were some of the most professional people I have dealt with yet. From the estimator Greg to dealing with Debbie, I was very impressed with the level of care they put into our relocation.
Kuddos to the professional movers they sent to our home in Bloomfield Hills Michigan as well. They took extreme care with my artwork and some of my other priceless items. I moved here to my new home in Chicago Il and everything went great.
They only exception was that the movers arrived a lttile later than we expected (weather perhaps) but all in all the whole move went great and nothing else bad was worth noting here.
